Guns N’ Roses performs in front of a sold-out audience of 60,000 in Tel Aviv.

Guns N’ Roses performed in front of a sold-out crowd of 60,000 people at Tel Aviv – Yarkon Park on Monday night.

It’s been six years since the band’s previous concert in Israel, and this will be their fourth visit in the last 20 years. The group initially performed in Israel in 1993, then again in 2012 and 2017, before returning on Monday.

Due to traffic congestion, police stopped many routes in Tel Aviv before of the event at Yarkon Park.

Following their performance in Abu Dhabi on Sunday night, Guns N’ Roses performed in Tel Aviv on their We’re F’N’ Back! tour in 2023.

The three-hour Tel Aviv show began at 7:40 p.m. Monday night, and it wasn’t until the third song (“Chinese Democracy”) that lead vocalist Axl Rose, 61, interacted with the audience.

“We wanted to have a little gathering,” said the band’s current lead vocalist, Duff McKagan, 59, bassist, and Slash, 57, famed British-American lead guitarist. “We appreciate your visit.”

Rose then launched into the remainder of the 26-song lineup, which featured Guns N’ Roses classics including “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Live and Let Die,” “Hard Skool,” “You Could Be Mine,” “Sweet Child O Mine,” “November Rain,” “Knocking on Heaven’s Door,” “Night Train,” and “Paradise City.”

The song “Civil War” was written in memory of Ukrainian war victims.

Fans reacted on social media that the band’s 2023 setlist for the upcoming worldwide tour was the most up-to-date in years.

They also praised the band’s high energy, which included many guitar solos from Slash and Rose playing the piano for a seven-minute rendition of the 1992 song “November Rain.”

The band will play 15 shows in Europe before returning to North America in August and concluding tour in Vancouver in October.
